Language teaching and critical literacy curriculum in Greek primary education: implementation and perspectives

The approach of the critical literacy principles in L1 Language Curriculum (CL_L1C) Greek primary education is strictly related to study social practices that focuses on elimination inequalities and formation critically thinking socially active individuals. In frame this analysis, development new semiotic modes communication examined through evaluation activities presented by curriculum, order underline significance multiliteracies pedagogy understanding forthcoming sociocultural changes. Through presentation basic teaching promoted context literacy, contribution curriculum pursued change way language treated as a subject teaching. For reason, documentary analysis comparatively built incorporating references into older cross-thematic (CT_L1C) focused more pupils’ communication—and less critical—skills. differentiation brought about newer however, mainly realized via experience accumulated schools, alongside difficulties perspectives it presents modern innovative educational discourse
